Job Description: Pharmacy Technician II PRN I First Shift Hospital Pharmacy I Corbin, KY The pharmacy department works to achieve optimal medication use and patient outcomes in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. Pharmacy is responsible for the storage, preparation (including sterile compounding), distribution, and dispensing of medications 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Pharmacy utilizes automated dispensing cabinets and barcoding to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency. Inpatient pharmacy clinical services involve pharmacists working directly with healthcare teams to optimize patient drug therapy by providing drug information and therapeutic monitoring. Accurately and efficiently processes and fills medication orders. Delivers medications from pharmacy to nursing units; returns items from nursing units as needed. Wholesale order processed and received correctly. Demonstrates leadership skills and critical thinking skills. Provides general assistance to pharmacist staff. Illustrates working knowledge of technology.

Requirements

• Less than High School.
• Pharmacy work experience preferred.
• National Certified as pharmacy technician or Pharmacy Intern license.
• Required Kentucky Board of Pharmacy registration certificate for Pharmacy Technician
