The Impact You'll Make in this Role Solventum's Health & Information Systems business unit is seeking a highly motivated leader for teams developing software products used domestically and internationally. We are developing next-gen products to better suit our customer's needs both on premises and in the cloud. Leading the architecture and strategy for Solventum's enterprise-scale AI/ML data engineering platforms with knowledge of associated cloud-native services. Strategizing engineering direction to implement secure, scalable, and compliant AI solutions that support clinical insights, operational intelligence, and generative AI use cases across Solventum's healthcare product ecosystem. Guiding the teams on cloud, data, and model governance patterns that ensure responsible AI, auditability, observability, model monitoring, and regulatory alignment (HIPAA, HITRUST, PHI/PII protections). Mentoring product leaders, data scientists, and engineering teams by providing deep technical guidance on cloud architecture, ML Ops, integration patterns, and platform modernization efforts. Growing and managing a high-performing team while also working with partners and customers to build a global and world-class health data engineering organization. Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Provide direct technical supervision of one or more teams responsible for developing HIS products, including Developers and Quality Assurance. This includes hiring, establishing and tracking goals and objectives, assigning workload, training, and facilitating the performance review process. Assist Technical Product Owner for a team working both to deliver HIS grouping content under the existing technology stack while simultaneously architecting and developing the replacement technology stack in a methodical manner. Set technical direction and establish, prioritize and work with the development team to define and update the team's backlog in concert with Tech Leads. Mentor development staff with duties such as analysis, software design, prototyping, coding, debugging, test case creation, test case automation, test case execution, documentation, support, infrastructure maintenance.
