Director, Corporate Sector Coverage

About the role

ING Mexico is seeking an experienced senior banker to join its Wholesale Banking team as Director, Sector Coverage. The role will focus primarily on client origination, relationship management, and business development across multiple sectors in Mexico. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing relationships with corporate clients, financial sponsors, and other key market participants, while originating new business opportunities and coordinating cross-border and cross-product solutions across ING's global platform. In addition to client coverage responsibilities, the role will also involve active participation in transaction execution processes, including coordination with product teams, legal counsel, advisors, and clients throughout the structuring, negotiation, and execution phases of transactions. This position requires a senior professional with strong commercial acumen, well-established network in the Mexican corporate and financial markets, and the ability to engage with senior decision-makers including CEOs, CFOs, corporate finance and treasury departments and financial sponsors. The Director will work closely with product partners, sector specialists, and regional teams across the Americas, Europe, and Asia to deliver strategic banking solutions tailored to client needs. About the Department ING Mexico's Wholesale Banking platform provides corporate and institutional clients with access to a broad suite of banking products and advisory capabilities. The Mexico team works closely with ING's international sector and product teams to support clients across a wide range of industries, including Real Estate, Commodity Food & Agri, Power & Renewables, Hydrocarbons & New Energies, Financial Sponsors, Financial Institutions, Metals & Mining, Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT), Healthcare, Infrastructure, Transports & Logistics and Corporate Sector Coverage. The team is responsible for delivering integrated banking solutions including lending, structured finance, financial markets solutions, transaction services, debt capital markets (DCM), and advisory services.
