Salary - £30,000 - £32,000 dependant on experience Closing Date - Sunday 07 June Contract Length - 12 months MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with monitoring the evolution of project design including revision of cost plans and preparation of cost estimates Assist in the development of tender lists Support in the preparation and compilation of tender documentation Support in evaluation of tenders Assist with preparation of contract documentation for execution Assist with change administration including site instructions, tenant modifications, change orders, etc. Assist with the preparation of interim valuations for progress payment Assist in negotiation of final accounts Assist with cash flow forecasting and monitoring. Assist in the preparation and agreement of insurance claims in conjunction with insurance department Assist with the analysis of final accounts for cost database purposes Any other duties as assigned by the Senior Cost Manager PERSON SPECIFICATION A Degree in Quantity Surveying, or working towards, is essential with an ambition to pursue a career in this field and a commitment to continuing professional development. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and organisation skills are essential. Intermediate IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages, particularly Word, Excel, Power Point; good numeracy skills. Desire to develop negotiation skills and apply these to their dealings with owners, developers and trade contractors The possession of a positive and helpful attitude is essential as is a strong customer service orientation. It is essential that the incumbent is able to maintain excellent working relationships with the rest of a diverse project team and all levels of the organisation, on a one to one and group basis.
