The team
InterDigital Video Lab brings together a team of highly motivated, fast-paced, and highly skilled researchers with strong backgrounds in video compression, video processing, machine learning, and standardization. We actively contribute to leading video standards organizations, including ISO/IEC MPEG, ITU-T SG16, JVET, IETF, SMPTE, ITU-R SG6, 3GPP, DVB, and ATSC, alongside mid- to long-term incubation activities.
The Media Services research group at the InterDigital Video Lab has broad experience in energy efficient technologies in video streaming and high dynamic range imaging. The research group is dedicated to improving video industry technologies, creating authentic, energy-efficient, and high-quality streaming solutions.
Energy-Aware Media project in the Media Services group is dedicated to making the entire video delivery chain more energy-efficient, from content creation through end-user display, while preserving the authentic, high-quality experience users expect. The team develops technologies, tools, and standards that reduce the energy footprint of streaming video at scale.
