Who we're looking for Toyota's Purchasing Supplier Development (PSD) Buying Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Purchasing Analyst with a strong data analytics mindset and the ability to turn insights into sound business decisions. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop sourcing strategies and apply rigorous analytical thinking (cost modeling, scenario/variance analysis, and benchmarking) to inform negotiations and recommendations-ensuring our Supplier Partners are compensated fairly while maintaining Toyota's competitive advantage across the North American supply chain. The person in this role will support PSD's objective to develop our outsourced supply base by using data-driven performance insights to improve overall cost, quality, manufacturability, and operational self-reliance-and by enabling timely, well-supported decisions with internal stakeholders.
