Job Summary: Job Description: PayPal, Inc. seeks Staff Software Engineer in Austin, TX Job Duties: Design, develop, and deploy scalable distributed software systems to support PayPal's global payments platform, with a focus on checkout billing agreements. Translate business needs into secure, high-performance software solutions, drive platform evolution through architectural improvements, and resolve complex technical challenges in the fintech space. Lead cross-functional project execution, mentor engineers, contribute to open-source initiatives, and support large merchant integrations. Ensure timely delivery aligned with compliance, legal, and risk standards. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field, plus 12 years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
