At least 2 years of practical experience working in cybersecurity roles such as security analyst, network security engineer, or penetration tester.
Experience with areas such as threat analysis, incident response, ethical hacking, network security, risk management, or security operations.
Familiarity with industry tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nmap, Kali Linux, SIEM platforms, etc.) and the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.
Master's or terminal/doctorate degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field.
Experience with any Learning Management System (e.g. Canvas, Blackboard, etc.)
Familiarity with Mac, Windows, and Linux
CompTIA Security+ or similar foundational certifications.
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
Certified Network Defender (CND).
Other cybersecurity certifications relevant to the area being taught (e.g., penetration testing, network security, cloud security).

Job Description
The CSN CIT Cybersecurity program is looking for part-time instructors for instructing in Cybersecurity/network security courses. Teaching assignments may include classroom courses based in any of the three CSN locations: Charleston, North Las Vegas, and Henderson OR remote course based on availability.
Responsibilities of a Part-Time Cybersecurity Instructor in the Computing and Information Technology department include but are not limited to:
Lecture and Lab instruction for Information Technology Courses. Course assignments may be multi-campus with the possibility of day, evening and/or weekend classes. Courses may be delivered online, or be delivered as a hybrid, online and in person.
Develop Lesson Plans, and course materials in conjunction with Program Director Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited College/University (technical, business or other 4-year degree that might be appropriate) in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
