MSS Security is seeking a casual Security officer - Reliever to join our team and work across different sites in Townsville. This position requires a 24/7 availability, as there is no set roster. To succeed in this role, you will bring experience in a customer facing role, strong communication and de-escalation skills. Duties include but are not limited to: Provide security services across a range of government, industrial, and public sites. Conduct patrols, monitor site activity, and maintain a safe and secure environment. Perform gatehouse, access control, and visitor screening duties in line with site procedures. Deliver professional customer service while assisting staff, visitors, and contractors onsite. Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns promptly while maintaining accurate reports and communication.

Requirements

• Full Australian Working Rights
• Valid QLD Security License
• Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificate (or willing to obtain)
• Blue card (or willing to obtain)
• Willing to undergo a National Police Check
• Willing to undergo a medical assessment, if required.
• 24/7 availability (including weekends)
• Master licence number: 41299
