Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the Thermal Well Integrity Management Plan (IMP) in alignment with regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
- Support the rollout and consistent implementation of the IMP across all CTCHO assets, ensuring alignment and compliance across asset teams.
- Enable data driven integrity decisions by improving data quality, accessibility, and analytics capability.
- Manage the evaluation, piloting, and implementation of new integrity inspection and monitoring technologies.
- Continuously refine inspection criteria using inspection results and third-party analysis
Requirements
- Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) registration as a P.Eng. or P.Tech.
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong understanding of thermal well integrity risks, including deformation, operating strategies, thermal cycling, and impairment mechanisms.
- Ability to evaluate and balance inspection/data acquisition costs against operational value and risk reduction.
- Experience interpreting inspection data, conducting defect assessments, and performing fitness-for-service (FFS) evaluations.
- Proficiency in data management, analytics, and technical interpretation.
