This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, a team that manages the logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly. The Manager, Strategic Sourcing (Professional Path), is primarily responsible for optimizing procurement operations by managing sourcing strategies and supplier relationships to reduce costs and ensure quality. You will build effective relationships with internal partners to align sourcing strategies with procurement needs and lead teams to ensure productivity and alignment with departmental goals. Job responsibilities: - Oversee procurement for specific categories of goods and services, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met - Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers for efficient sourcing and delivery - Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate options based on cost, quality, and reliability - Manage the procurement process, including issuing Requests for Proposals, negotiating contracts, and monitoring supplier performance - Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals - Support cost-saving initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements and supplier consolidation - Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and budgetary constraints. - All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training. - Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization. - Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations. Minimum Requirement: - Bachelor's degree/Master's in Supply Chain, Business or any relevant. - 12-18+ years in strategic sourcing, experience in regulated manufacturing environments, strong influencing and negotiation skills. - Skill: Delivery of cost savings, contract coverage, risk mitigation, cross-site leverage, and stakeholder satisfaction.
