Description of Work We are currently recruiting a Carpenter II position for Central Regional Hospital. The purpose of this position is to maintain and provide repairs at CRH and the CRH Annex Campus. This employee will work in a variety of building settings and will work both inside and outside in the elements. Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: - Position will build walls with sheetrock & block - Install steel windows and door frames, install locks and door closers, form and pour concrete, hang doors, install bulletin boards, hang pictures, put up curtain rods & blinds - Assess and make repairs as needed to EPDM, TPO, Metal, and Shingle roof systems - Construction and repair of furniture - Install counter tops, install floor tile and rubber base, and other duties as assigned by department leadership - Repair of leaking roofs and other equipment Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range: $39,244.00 - $68,679.00 Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred: Working knowledge of the standard practices and methods of the carpentry trade. Working knowledge of tools and materials used in repairing and constructing wooden articles Skill in the use of carpenters' hand tools and woodworking machines. Ability to read and work from blueprints, drawings, or sketches. Ability to make accurate arithmetical calculations. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Conditional Requirements: Valid Driver's License This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events. This is a first shift position. Normal working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This is a full-time position and is eligible for the full State benefits package including health insurance and retirement.
