Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary With direction from the Zone Manager and Working Supervisor, the Mechanic works with a team multi-craft mechanics to perform routine and emergency multi-craft maintenance tasks for campus facilities. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining equipment and systems in order to support the teaching and research mission of the University. Proactively identifying, communicating, prioritizing and addressing needs without direction when appropriate. Responding to work orders and other requests in a timely, efficient, competent, knowledgeable and friendly manner. Maintaining data per departmental policy. Utilizing materials, supplies, tools and other University property in a safe, productive manner. Works in multi-craft positions/situations. Performs other duties as assigned. Working Conditions: Job Location/Working Conditions Must be willing to provide one's own hand tools; be available for emergencies after normal work hours.
