Responsibilities

  • Location & Travel Expectations :
  • This role may be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC or Novi, Michigan.
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Requirements

  • Education/Certifications : A Master's degree in mechanical engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Years of Experience : 8-10 years of experience in developing and integrating vehicle safety systems, body structures and occupant protection systems covering all phases of development (design, testing, launch).
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of vehicle safety principles, regulations, and standards
  • Strong technical skills and expertise in Vehicle Safety employing a 1 st Principles approach to problem-solving
  • Familiarity with computer aided engineering (CAE) or direct experience in this field
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with individuals at all organization levels
