Evaluate and manage patients with advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and complex cardiomyopathy, including inpatient and outpatient care.
Manage ventricular assist devices (VAD), temporary MCS (ECMO), and patients with cardiogenic shock.
Lead program development for Advanced Heart Failure, durable VAD and transplant initiatives.
Engage in departmental quality improvement initiatives and attend faculty meetings as required.
Work with cardiac surgeons, specialized nurses, pharmacists, and social workers on multi-disciplinary teams.

The University of Oklahoma Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Heart Failure physician with Board Certification/Eligibility in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology to join our expanding Cardiovascular Division. This is a full-time faculty role at a major academic medical center, offering the opportunity to deliver high-quality care while contributing to trainee education, quality initiatives, and scholarly work. OU Health is the state's only academic quaternary referral center, with a rapidly expanding cardiovascular service line performing 250+ open-heart surgeries and 120+ structural heart procedures annually. The institution is launching a durable LVAD program in 2026, supported by dedicated CVICU, cardiogenic shock pathways, and a strong surgical partner with expertise in advanced heart failure therapy (temporary MCS, durable LVAD, and transplant).The Advanced HF physician will play a central leadership role in building the HF/MCS program, shaping clinical pathways, and preparing the institution for future transplant readiness.
