What you will have an opportunity to do: Direct and oversee all engineering, maintenance, and repair activities throughout the hotel. Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for guestrooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, equipment, and building systems. Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate Engineering Department associates. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, OSHA, fire life safety, and brand standards. Maintain operational knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, life safety, and building automation systems. Respond to emergency situations involving equipment failures, utility interruptions, or safety concerns. Manage departmental budgets, expenses, inventories, and purchasing activities. Coordinate and oversee outside contractors, service providers, and vendor relationships. Conduct routine inspections of guestrooms, public spaces, grounds, and mechanical areas to identify maintenance needs and ensure quality standards. Maintain accurate records of repairs, preventative maintenance activities, inspections, warranties, permits, and equipment inventories. Participate in capital planning and property improvement projects. Ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner and according to established procedures. Support hotel operations by maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for guests and associates. Participate in manager-on-duty coverage and emergency response activities as required. Perform all other duties deemed necessary by management. What are we looking for? Minimum three (3) years of hotel engineering or facilities maintenance experience, with supervisory experience preferred. Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics. Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems. Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-ins. Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, stoop, and lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Valid driver's license preferred
