Maintenance Technician- 3rd shift $29.10 - $32.45 depending on hire date and shift differential Nature & Scope: The Maintenance Technician is the first-level maintenance position at Delta Faucet Greensburg. The position requires a person who can effectively support a Lean manufacturing and team-based production facility through continuous improvement efforts. They will learn and then apply the tools of Lean, Shop Floor Management, Masco Operating System, and core values of People, Credibility, High Performance Teams, Customer Service and Continuous Improvement - Innovation. A person must be able to perform each essential maintenance duty well (accurately, organized, and timely), be customer focused, have a positive attitude, and willing to work overtime. The person should have a desire for continual improvement in the business processes they work in. Essential Duties / Tasks (including but not limited to): Demonstrate safe work practices to ensure the safety of personnel and the safe operation of equipment (confined space entry, lockout / tagout, hot work permits, safe chemical handling, emergency response, etc.) Provide technical support for production. Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust manufacturing equipment. Perform preventive, predictive, reactive, and corrective maintenance. Install, dismantle, or move machinery and equipment according to blueprints or drawings. Troubleshoot, repair and correct electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and process problems which may include HVAC, steam boiler, electronic control systems, refrigeration, electrical, compressed air and gases, and wastewater treatment. Locate and determine electrical and mechanical malfunctions using test equipment. Test electrical equipment, such as AC/DC drives, motors, and controls using test equipment and by observing system and unit operations. Install, wire and maintain relays, photo-eyes, limit switches, proximity switches, solenoid valves, motors, starters, and safety circuits. Cleans, lubricates and adjusts sensors, servos, and timing for process systems of finishing equipment to improve efficiency, quality, or operation. Work with contractors to repair, install, remove, and/or upgrade equipment. Participate in Continuous Improvement and 5S activities. Use codes and Delta Faucet standards to perform work in a quality manner. Perform housekeeping duties consistent with 5S and visual workplace standards. Perform ERGO stretches. Work safely while performing job duties. Complete hazard observations or observe unsafe actions and report both using Delta's standard procedures. Education, Experience, and Skills: Post high school education in a technical discipline (i.e., Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, Engineering) or at a minimum three (3) courses are required; (1) Basic Electricity, (2) Motors and Motor Controls, and (3) Employee's choice based on his or her skill needs. (Have 2 years to complete once onboarding has concluded) Mechanical aptitude acquired through 0 to 2 years of prior electro-mechanical experience. Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, and vacuum systems preferred Must be able to read schematics and troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems (i.e., digital and analog electronics, logic circuits) Well versed on general controls. Able to work independently and with limited supervision. Acceptable disciplinary performance - Employees who have received a written warning (first or second) are not eligible for promotions or transfers for a minimum of six months after receiving that warning. Acceptable attendance performance - Employees who have six or more points are not eligible for promotions or transfers. A human performance evaluation or HPE is an evaluation of a person's physical ability to do a job. An HPE may be required of the applicant or person to determine if they are physically able to perform different tasks related to skills that are critical for success on the job, such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
