Responsibilities

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience, or
- Master's degree in Engineering and 7 years of relevant experience, or
- PhD in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience
- Shows excellent technical knowledge and quality work in multiple discipline transportation projects.
- Prioritizes tasks and displays accountability to the project team to deliver projects that are of high quality, on-time, and within budget and scope.
- Demonstrates vision beyond the task at hand and anticipates risks and effects of their actions.
- Understands and supports the objectives that are responsible for successful project delivery, recognizing how multiple disciplines influence project development.
- Applies an accrued knowledge base to innovate project efficiencies.
- Uses refined technical skills to identify problems, develop appropriate solutions, and make good decisions, knowing what tools to use for effective solutions and optimal outcomes on projects.
- Performs drainage design, quality control, and independent review for transportation projects, including stormwater management facility, floodplain compensation site, storm drain, ditch, culvert, bridge hydraulics, and scour analysis.
- Prepares and/or reviews construction and permitting documents, including reports, plans, and specifications.
- Leads and manages drainage related tasks and provide leadership and mentoring to project teams.
- Familiars with OpenRoads Designer and AutoCAD Civil 3D production platforms, and use of a variety of technical design software packages (StormWise, HEC-RAS, OpenRoads Designer Drainage).
- Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
- Participates in project pursuits including presentations, interviews, and technical proposals.
- Develops and/or reviews scope of services and staff hour estimation for drainage tasks.
- Performs quality control review of deliverables.
- Coordinates work planning and design effectively across multiple technical disciplines.
- What We Prefer:
- 10 years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida
