Swedish Match is currently recruiting an Analytical Chemist for a two-year temporary position within the Product Science & Research Oral department in Stockholm.
In this role, you will support production, product development and regulatory activities by performing chemical analyses using GC-MS and other analytical techniques. You will contribute to ensuring high-quality analytical results while supporting method development, validation, quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Perform, evaluate and approve chemical analyses using accredited and non-accredited methods.
Prepare and analyze samples using GC-MS and laboratory automation systems.
Evaluate and manage analytical data in LabVantage (LIMS).
Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instruments and methods.
Support method development, validation and laboratory improvement projects.
Contribute to quality assurance activities and ISO/IEC 17025 compliance.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation and increased laboratory efficiency.
Provide technical support and train new employees in laboratory methods and procedures.
The team consists of 7 people working in laboratory roles as Scientists, Analytical Chemists and Laboratory Engineers. The work environment is supportive, collaborative and with a very positive atmosphere.
Your profile
Requirements
MSc in Chemistry, Natural Sciences, BMA, or equivalent.
Hands-on experience working with GCMS, GC-MS/MS.
Experience of analytical method development and/or validation is considered an advantage.
Experience working with laboratory software and LIMS systems.
Experience from an accredited laboratory environment and knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 is a plus.
Proficiency in both Swedish and English (spoken and written).
Experience from pharmaceutical, food, environmental or similar analytical laboratory environments is considered an advantage.
