  • Manage and automate compute operations, including server provisioning, lifecycle management, and optimization of performance and resource utilization.
  • Build and maintain enterprise storage systems (NAS/SAN), including volume/LUN creation, host mapping, multipathing, data replication, and performance tuning.
  • Plan and execute compute and storage migration activities for data center relocation or consolidation projects, including assessing environments, creating migration strategies, and mitigating risks.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, OpenStack), performing both live and cold VM migrations, capacity planning, and decommissioning with minimal service disruption.
  • Write and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline server operations, storage management, and data centre workflows, reducing manual effort and improving operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions for compute and storage provisioning using configuration management and automation tools.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems for compute, storage, and data centre health, analyze system trends, and proactively address performance issues.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (network, security, application teams, data centre ops) while following ITIL-based request, change, and incident management processes.
  • Validate system performance and data integrity, conduct tuning and optimization, and ensure high availability, reliability, and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Produce clear documentation for runbooks, standard operating procedures, and migration activities; share learnings and support problem resolution across teams.

  • Advanced expertise in building, operating, tuning, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows Server environments for high availability and performance.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise storage systems (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC) and advanced storage architectures (NAS, SAN), including volume/LUN management, host mapping, multipathing, data replication, and snapshots.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for infrastructure automation.
  • Experience developing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code solutions using configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in data centre operations, including hardware installation, rack management, cabling, power management, and environmental monitoring.
  • Solid understanding of Cisco-based network architectures and fundamental networking concepts as they relate to compute/storage connectivity.
  • Experience with capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization of compute and storage resources.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools for infrastructure performance (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack).
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning for compute and storage systems.
