Responsibilities

  • Desire to grow and increase knowledge in the field of child development.

  • Exemplary role model and warm personality
  • Able to organize and care for the classroom environment, prepare and arrange materials, clean up and set up.
  • Must be fingerprinted and cleared with a background check through the NY State Office of Children and Family Services.
  • Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities
  • CDA or Associate's Degree or working towards a degree in early childhood.

  • Position works with minors and requires a background check.
  • Pay rate : $18.51 per hour

Job Description Position Summary Wimpfheimer Nursery School is seeking a temporary Assistant Teacher for an immediate, full time opening. Full time hours are 8:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm, but vary on the needs and demands of the nursery school. This position starts as soon as possible and is expected to last 4-6 weeks. Following this period, there is an opportunity to remain on-call. As an assistant teacher on call, you will support a team approach, working with other educators to develop and implement a high-quality early education and care program that reflects the goals of our laboratory nursery school for children ages 2-5.
