Job Description: We are looking to add a Benefits Administrator to join our Talent & Culture (HR) team in West Des Moines, IA . This role will implement and manage the benefits strategies in alignment with the organization's overall business operations to attract, retain and motivate employees. Essential Responsibilities: Administer benefit and retirement programs, such as medical, dental, life insurance, disability and 401(k). Manage and administer leave of absence with vendor and HRIS and oversee absence policies, procedures, and practices. Manage benefit vendor relationships and elevating concerns, as needed. Responsible for ensuring benefit and retirement programs are accurately reflected in Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Own annual Open Enrollment strategy, administer and manage within HRIS, and facilitate post-Open Enrollment audit. Collaborate with Talent & Culture partners to deliver benefit programs, making recommendations and leading leader/employee communications, as needed. Maintain tools to assist employees in benefits communication and selection (i.e., benefits orientation, Total Rewards flipbook, intranet, etc). Ongoing collaboration with Holmes Murphy broker team to understand internal and external trends, while continuing to provide employee insights, in order to support and drive the overall benefit strategy. Stay abreast of benefit related legal requirements in order to remain compliant and communicate effectively with employees and vendors. Oversee management of HMA Benefits inbox; address escalated issues and respond to questions in a timely manner. Manage other benefit-related tasks including owning compliance initiatives, COBRA processes, workers' compensation claims, and any state mandated requests.
