Salary 35-42k with overtime An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chargehand Fitter to join our Engineering Team at our Walkergate Depot in Newcastle upon Tyne . At Stagecoach North East we operate over 400 vehicles, which connect our passengers across Tyne and Wear and Teesside with our engineering teams playing a fundamental role in ensuring our vehicles are maintained to the highest standards. Our depot at Walkergate is a purpose-built facility and we operate 100 buses from there. The successful candidate will play a key role within our maintenance team to ensure our vehicles are maintained and repaired, so they remain available, roadworthy and reliable for our customers at all times. This is a shift-based role, with shifts working on an 8 on, 6 off rota (4 days per week) which will be discussed at interview. A PCV licence is preferred but not essential as training will be provided as required. NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject is essential. Salary: Potential to earn £35 - 42k per year with some overtime working. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent.
