Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Support cost analyses, estimates, cost plans and feasibility studies for construction projects.
• Assist with trade and elemental take-off;
• Assist with measuring quantities for variations and managing risks in relation to changes;
• Undertake site visit and complete valuations of work complete on site;
• Prepare cash flows;
• Assist with client relations and assist in establishing a client's requirements;
• Support expert advice on cost-effective construction methods and materials.
• Undertake cost analysis and feasibility studies.
• Key Qualifications:
• The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
• Working towards an accreditation in Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
• 0-2 year's Quantity Surveying experience (not required, current students accepted)
• Membership in an approved Professional Body (eg. AIQS, RICS, CIOB);
• Knowledge of the local construction industry including development, contracting and consulting sectors;
• Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty and ethics;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;

Compensation Range: $60,000 - $80,000 Compensation Disclaimer: The salary range listed reflects the base pay for this role at Altus Group and is provided where required by local regulations. Actual offers may differ based on experience, market conditions, and other relevant factors. The range does not include additional compensation such as bonuses, equity, benefits, or other incentives. Reporting to the Associate Director of Development Advisory, the Assistant Quantity Surveyor is passionate about helping clients manage their Construction costs. As a Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in supporting your team with financial efficiency through the various stages of construction.
