About the role

You will serve as a Supervisory Regional Dispatch Center Specialist of COMMANDER NAVY REGION HAWAII. A post allowance amount, (otherwise known as: COLA), of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary. Post allowance is subject to change at any time. For additional information, please refer to the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), Chapter 5 Part B. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) managing all aspects of a Regional 9-1-1 dispatch center's operations with high level supervision during emergency situations in an high stress environment; 2) Demonstrating supervisory and managerial proficiency; 3) Providing full, first-level supervision including planning, directing, scheduling, and evaluating the work of subordinate staff and shift leaders, developing performance standards, interviewing candidates and recommending promotions, developing and implementing quality assurance program and training plans; 4) Operating CAD, NCIC, 9-1-1 systems, LMR and alarm monitoring systems; 5) Dispatching Shipboard fires and Aircraft emergencies.
