The work: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Release Manager in Rosslyn, VA to oversee and optimize our release planning, coordination, and delivery processes across multiple teams and projects. This critical role ensures smooth and efficient software releases while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders. Job responsibiities: Release Coordination Host deployment plan walkthroughs with deploying (external) teams Facilitate internal and external coordination between teams to prepare for and execute releases Deconflict releases based on schedules or overlapping functionality Coordinate meetings for deployments, ensuring seamless communication and integration Assist team leads in ensuring adequate coverage during release processes Release Delivery Partner with Delivery Leads to establish and maintain a program-wide release calendar Track development work among teams, monitoring progress and expected delivery timelines Maintain detailed documentation of release processes and outcomes Report key metrics and insights to leadership Distribute updated documentation and guidance to relevant teams Coordinate and facilitate post-release reviews as necessary Prepare and distribute release/deployment updates for leadership and clients Stakeholder Engagement Establish and maintain relationships with contract government leads, providing documentation and support required for release approvals Own relationship with contractor teams responsible for the client release management process Maintain working relationships with contractor teams responsible for client deployment process Here's what you need: Requires at least 3 years' professional experience in release management or a similar role within software development Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and release processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools Active Interim Secret at a minimum in order to be considered for role Willingness to work onsite at least 2 days a week
