4-year degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, or equivalent field, equivalent experience
7+ years' experience in progressive leadership leading large, diverse teams
3+ years' experience as a Flight Attendant
2+ years' experience in an Inflight Training Leadership Role
Experience in adult learning methodologies, professional development, instructional design, and curriculum development
Extensive knowledge and strong understanding of FAA regulations, particularly Part 121 Inflight, FARs and FAA guidance
Ability to attend, pass, and maintain Breeze Flight Attendant training
Willingness to travel frequently (up to 25%)
Must possess a valid passport
Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test
Must pass a TSA required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and Breeze background checks
Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

The Director of Inflight Training & Standards is responsible for overseeing all activities of the Inflight Training Team including New Hire and Recurrent Flight Attendant training programs. This Director is responsible for maintaining relationships with the FAA and ensures compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations and company policies and procedures.
Here's what you'll do
Lead and develop a team of Inflight managers, instructors, curriculum developers, and support personnel.
Provide strategic leadership for the Inflight Safety, Training, and Standards function, ensuring compliance with FAA requirements and company safety and guest experience expectations.
Direct Inflight Training Design and Delivery across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety, and guest experience standards.
Develop and execute the short- and long-term vision, strategy, and goals for learning design, training compliance, eLearning development, and technology-enabled learning solutions.
Ensure Flight Attendant regulatory training programs are approved and incorporated into Initial, Recurrent, and Requalification training programs, including regulatory recordkeeping requirements.
Collaborate with Breeze training leaders to ensure consistency across training programs, processes, and products while supporting regulatory requirements and corporate objectives.
Serve as the primary liaison for Inflight Records and Training Scheduling functions, ensuring accurate qualification tracking, training planning, recordkeeping, and regulatory compliance.
Lead audit readiness activities, including IOSA, FAA inspections, internal audits, investigations, and corrective action programs.
Serve as the primary liaison with the FAA and other regulatory agencies to ensure compliance across all aspects of the Inflight Training, Safety, and Standards organization.
Establish and maintain productive relationships with operational and non-operational partners, including Airport Services, Flight Operations, Technical Operations, Crew Services, FAA, and OSHA, providing recommendations and guidance on best practices and operational efficiencies.
Research and implement emerging industry trends, technologies, concepts, and instructional techniques to continuously enhance training curriculum and delivery methods.
Oversee the Inflight training budget, organizational structure, workforce planning, and project expenditures.
Lead safety reviews and debriefs to identify opportunities, mitigate risk, and drive continuous improvement across the operation.
Provide leadership and oversight for performance management and corrective action related to Inflight training personnel and trainees, including releases, reassignments, and other training-related matters.
