At Driscoll's, we are committed to delivering high-quality financial insights that support our growing international business. To strengthen our Finance team in Europe, we are looking for an Assistant Controller who combines analytical strength with a hands-on mindset.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include:
Preparing and supporting monthly financial statements at both local and consolidated level
Owning and reconciling balance sheet accounts, ensuring compliance with reconciliation policies
Analysing financial data and providing clear insights to senior management
Supporting statutory accounts preparation and ensuring local compliance requirements are met
Assisting with year-end audits and acting as a point of contact for external auditors
Supporting periodic reporting to headquarters (e.g. cash flow, DSO, transfer pricing)
Leading payroll-related financial processes in collaboration with HR and external providers
Ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, benefits reporting, and tax requirements
Driving continuous improvement initiatives, including finance transformation and systems enhancements
Collaborating with international finance teams on intercompany reconciliations
Supporting ERP-related activities and process optimizations
Candidate Profile
What you bring
You are a structured, detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a dynamic and international environment.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting. We prefer an ACCA certificate
Around 3+ years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting role
Strong knowledge of Dutch accounting and payroll processes (including pensions and benefits)
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus)
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
Strong communication skills and the ability to present financial information clearly
