Director of Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead the Flagship Broccoli Experience: You'll oversee some of the most important product areas of Broccoli
• Own the planning and coordination layer that keeps multiple small teams aligned and unblocked. Keep it lightweight, decision-focused, and in service of engineering velocity - not process for its own sake.
• Help scale the engineering org by hiring world-class software engineers
• Build a culture where high performers are energized - people feel real ownership, are recognized and rewarded for impact, and are motivated to do the best work of their careers here
• Work with other leaders to shape the organization, both in terms of skill set and culture
• Work "in the trenches" with the team: we're in the office 5 days a week

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience
• 1+ years of engineering leadership experience
• Clear and concise communication; you create alignment, set context, motivate teams, and make decisions in the face of ambiguity
• Bonus: Been the most senior technical person in a fast-moving 10-20 person engineering team
