Job Category: Academic Staff Employment Type: Regular Job Profile: Clinical Assistant Professor Job Duties: The Department of Neurology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a child neurologist with subspecialty training in Epilepsy, Stroke, Neuroimmunology, Movement Disorders, or general pediatric neurologists interested in joining our expanding Pediatric Neurology and Comprehensive Epilepsy Programs at UW Hospital and Clinics, American Family Children's Hospital and affiliated locations. The Section of Pediatric Neurology has recruited six pediatric epileptologists and six pediatric neurologists with subspecialty training in neuromuscular diseases, sleep, headache, and neonatal neurology and plans to expand further. This position includes opportunities for teaching and research. This position is full or part time, 40%-100% This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. Applicants for this position will be considered for the following titles; Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor. The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist. This vacancy is being announced simultaneously with JR#10001355; please note that only one total vacancy exists. Having two job postings allows the School of Medicine and Public Health to consider candidates on both the CHS and CT tracks. This position will be a dual appointment with UW Madison and UW Medical Foundation. This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years. The department will not be able to support a request for a J-1 waiver.
