Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with all safety processes, including BSP and Permit to Work systems.
Ensure maintenance activities align with corporate and governmental safety and environmental regulations.
Lead, train, and mentor maintenance technicians and support teams.
Coordinate daily scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
Support and implement short‑ and long‑term maintenance planning, including shutdowns and equipment schedules, in coordination with stakeholders.
Ensure the preventive maintenance system is effective and aligned with equipment needs; modify as required.
Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance, mechanical integrity programs, and maintenance procedures.
Maintain effective systems, procedures, vendors, and contractors to implement planned and unplanned maintenance safely, efficiently, and cost‑effectively.
Support maintenance budget planning and ensure work is completed within approved budgets.
Develop site talent through mentor, training, and progression boards.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, diversity, and inclusion.
Requirements
A technical degree associated with process plant operation and maintenance preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance or maintenance related positions in process facilities.
Proven leadership and supervision experience of plant operations/maintenance teams.
Lead by example with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
Drive high performance across internal and external teams through strong leadership.
Experience with preventive maintenance systems (e.g., SAP, MAXIMO), planning, and cost management.
Adapt effectively to changing priorities, environments, and processes.
Build strong customer relationships and take ownership of customer satisfaction.
Communicate clearly and effectively to drive understanding and action.
Promote continuous improvement, learning, and proactive problem-solving.
Manage time and resources efficiently while contributing to overall team success.

Reimagine What's Possible
At the Air Products facility in Texas City, TX, the Maintenance Supervisor delivers direct leadership and technical guidance to maintenance personnel. This role oversees workflows and scheduling to ensure all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and within designated timeframes.
The facility includes a large Steam Methane Reformer hydrogen production plant, an Air Separation Unit nitrogen plant, an Ammonia production plant, associated pipelines, steam turbine power generation, and supporting utilities and infrastructure. It is connected to the Air Products Gulf Coast Hydrogen Pipeline system and to external providers for natural gas, water, and electrical power. The Ammonia assets are owned by Gulf Coast Ammonia and are operated and maintained by Air Products as part of the integrated facility.
This position reports to the Maintenance Superintendent and manages a team of 12 Instrument, Electrical, and Mechanical Technicians. The role also coordinates closely with maintenance planning, engineering, site operations, and support teams.
