TTM is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer II to leads the research, development, design, and test of hardware/firmware components, equipment and systems. Provides analysis related to the design, development and implementation.
Design, develop, and maintain Hardware /firmware for embedded systems used in aerospace and defense mission applications
Develop and implement FPGA logic using VHDL or Verilog for signal processing, communications, and control applications
Write, optimize, and debug firmware for bare-metal and RTOS-based embedded microcontroller/microprocessor systems (ARM, PowerPC, etc.)
Collaborate with hardware engineers to review schematics, PCB layouts, and interface designs to ensure firmware compatibility
Develop firmware drivers for peripherals including UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, PCIe, and MIL-STD-1553/ARINC-429
Participate in the full firmware development lifecycle: requirements capture, design, coding, unit testing, integration, and verification
Apply DO-254 and/or DO-178C standards where applicable for airborne avionics and defense systems
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including design specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), and test procedures
Support hardware bring-up, lab debugging, and field integration activities
Work within configuration management systems (Git, SVN) and adhere to established development processes and coding standards
