As a Technical Lead Software Engineer, you will lead a high-performing engineering squad within our Auckland innovation hub, delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions across our Veterinary Software platform. In this role: You lead by example as a trusted technical role model and mentor You design and document scalable, effective technical solutions You build and deliver large-scale or complex projects that meet intended outcomes You write clean, well-crafted, scalable, and maintainable code You monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve solutions post-release in an Agile environment You write high-quality unit tests to ensure code reliability You perform senior-level code reviews that strengthen robustness and consistency You refactor core framework components to enhance performance and scalability You contribute meaningfully to high-level technology and architecture discussions You collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to solve challenges at scale You guide architectural decisions and influence technical direction within your squad You contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and resilient distributed systems Why this role matters: This role sits at the heart of IDEXX's mission to transform animal health through technology.
