The world is making the shift to cleaner energy, slowly. The planet is changing, fast. That's why Akaysha builds, owns, and operates the most powerful mega-scale battery storage solutions of today, and it's why we'll continue to build more. But what we are really building is a better future for everyone we share the planet with. With a 30GWh+ portfolio spanning APAC, the Americas, and the EU and a global team of over 200, should we slow down, or should the world catch up? As a Specialist Solutions Architect, you'll be joining the Corporate IT team responsible for delivering technology solutions that are future-ready and aligned to Akaysha's strategic roadmaps. Recently, the team has driven initiatives across ITSM, data and AI, digital workplace, and cyber security. Building on this momentum, the role will be responsible for designing, governing, and delivering scalable and secure technology solutions that align with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards. You'll connect business needs, delivery teams and technology platforms to shape practical fit-for-purpose solutions, such as improving workflows, streamlining data access, and embedding the right tools and patterns for scale. In doing so, you'll support smarter technology decisions, stronger delivery outcomes and greater capability across the business by: Designing end-to-end solutions across applications, infrastructure, cloud, data, integration and security, translating business needs into scalable architectures aligned to enterprise standards. Contributing to technology roadmaps and platform direction, driving standardisation, simplification and informed decisions on new tools, technologies and vendors. Leading architecture governance and ensure solutions meet security, risk, compliance and regulatory requirements, while managing technical debt, dependencies and IT/OT convergence risks. Partnering with delivery teams, business stakeholders and external vendors to provide architectural guidance and translate complex concepts into clear, practical direction. Leading cloud and data platform architecture for operational and enterprise workloads, ensuring resilience, performance, availability and recovery requirements are met. Leading machine learning solutions across the full model lifecycle, from experiment tracking and model versioning through to deployment, automated retraining and production monitoring for drift and performance. This role will be based at Akaysha's Melbourne Office in Cremorne (HQ), with the option to work in hybrid capacity - spend time in the office, and at home. Making an impact in this role will rely on experience across the following areas: Strong experience designing cloud-native solutions across computer, storage, networking, identity and security services. Expertise in designing data and analytics platforms that support streaming, time-series and analytical workloads for monitoring, forecasting, optimisation and reporting. Experience with Azure Machine Learning across the full model lifecycle, including experiment tracking, model versioning, deployment, automated retraining and production monitoring for drift and performance. Experience designing REST APIs and event-driven integrations that enable secure, reliable and scalable data and system connectivity. Sound understanding of cyber security principles, including identity, access control, network segmentation, encryption and cyber risk mitigation in critical infrastructure environments. Strong skills in producing clear architecture artefacts, diagrams and decision records using recognised modelling approaches. We're committed to staying ahead of the curve and consider our people to be Akaysha's greatest asset. To foster career growth and well-being, we offer professional development support that includes an annual development allowance and additional paid time off, a flexible-use wellbeing allowance, paid parental leave, competitive compensation, performance-based bonuses and long-term incentives. We believe diverse teams build better solutions for the planet and its people. We're committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels respected, supported, and able to do their best work, no matter their background, identity, or lived experience.
