EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Technical degree preferred.
Minimum of five years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment necessary.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and c orrespondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems and issues that arise.

Job Description
PURPOSE:
Responsible for coordinating, directing, and supervising daily maintenance operations. Responsibilities include performing a wide variety of tasks to keep the plant running smoothly and ensure that all injection molding equipment is performing at maximum efficiency with minimal downtime.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental, and Department of Health requirements.
Assure clean safe work areas in accordance with GMP's and sanitation policies.
Develop and maintain the maintenance budget and other departmental metrics.
Collaborate on capital projects ensuring needs are met and budgets are maintained.
Manage all facilities, maintenance, and prioritize activities for mechanics.
Recommends and implements changes to processes or plant to improve safety and quality.
Maintain all plant facilities to include: chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, fire protection systems, electrical systems, etc. to optimal working condition.
Maintain all plant production equipment to include: Molding, Lining, Assembly, Primary Automation, etc. to optimal working condition.
Establish weekly and monthly priorities, and scheduling for the maintenance team.
Manage daily activities of maintenance department to balance staffing, workflow, and elimination of bottlenecks that hinder plant production.
Coordinate work by outside contractors and completion of all assigned projects.
Minimize downtime on plant equipment due to breakdowns.
Work with vendors on new technology and coordinate vendor/supplier activities.
Enhance skills of maintenance employees through training and development opportunities, and coaching.
Work closely with plant leadership from safety, quality, operations, tooling, engineering, and HR departments to assure that plant goals are being met.
Annual performance review of maintenance employees, identification of training needs.
Any other duties required by the Plant Director.
