Direct accountability for the business results for the South region and the Upstream line with respect to profitability, penetration and/or volume. Responsible for developing strategic client and broker relationships. Represents AIG at industry events and seeks opportunities for speaking engagements to further AIG's reputation in the Energy and Upstream/Downstream space. In partnership with the Global Product Line Executives for O&P and Upstream, drive and execute the long-term business strategy for the US. Serve as a technical expert, exercising technical authority with regards to the Downstream and Upstream lines within NA Energy. Oversee multiple managers and senior underwriters; makes decisions regarding pay, performance management, development, employment, and staffing. LEADERSHIP SKILLS : Strategic orientation, managing vision and purpose, developing organizational capability. Talent assessment and development for bench strength and succession planning. Proven collaborative leadership skills. Strong influencing and communications skills and ability to work across multiple areas of company and industries. Change management and team leadership.
