The Maintenance Technician is responsible for efficiently and safely making a variety of machine repairs in the facility and completing required preventative maintenance tasks. This person may guide other technicians, vendors and hourly facilities associates on projects such as machine movement and complex tear downs. knowledgeable on machine repair but tasks may vary widely throughout the locations.
Responsibilities
Observes: safety, environmental, and ITAR, procedures at all times.
Maintain, Troubleshoot, and repair equipment including, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
Ability to read and utilize machine drawings including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints and fluid power diagrams.
Assist with all installations, placement or movement of new or existing equipment.
Assists with building repairs such as painting, drywall, cleaning, polishing, and other repairs as assigned.
Works with all Managers, Engineers, and department supervisors to ensure all equipment is maintained and operational, by communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Utilize CMMS system to Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
May use a wide variety of dimensional tools such as mics, calipers or other instruments to adjust machines or functional tools for machinists.
Initiates purchase order for parts and machines
Must perform 5S activities monthly; may assist other departments with duties
Overtime and weekend work is occasionally required for machine repairs and installations so ability to work independently without direct supervisor is required.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Experience in mechanical/electrical CNC machine repair preferred.
Experience in PLC programming preferred.
5-7 years' industrial maintenance experience required with knowledge in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics.
