Define and execute the enterprise-wide indirect procurement strategy across Commercial, Clinical, and D&M operations, including CapEx and ESG-related spend

Category Management - Indirect & CapEx
Own and lead category strategies for indirect spend across all segments, including facilities and site services, professional and consulting services, IT and digital services, logistics and external services, and capital equipment, engineering, construction, and site investments
Lead CapEx sourcing strategies supporting capacity expansion, clinical capabilities, technology upgrades, and manufacturing investments
Ensure early and consistent procurement involvement in CapEx planning, budgeting, and execution to improve cost, schedule, and supplier outcomes
Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) discipline, value tracking, and contract compliance across indirect categories
ESG & Sustainable Procurement (Including Scope 3)
Embed ESG principles into procurement strategies, supplier selection, and contracting practices across indirect categories
Own procurement's contribution to Scope 3 (value chain) emissions performance by driving supplier engagement, data quality, and emissions reduction initiatives within priority categories
Establish supplier sustainability expectations and contracting mechanisms that support evolving disclosure requirements, including CSRD and SEC climate disclosure readiness, audits, and customer expectations, as applicable
Implement supplier sustainability scorecards and performance management routines, linking supplier performance to measurable outcomes such as emissions intensity, responsible sourcing, and ethical supply chain standards
Partner with Sustainability/ESG, Quality, Compliance, Legal, and Finance teams to support Scope 3 reporting governance, supplier data collection, and assurance readiness
Where adopted by the enterprise, align supplier engagement programs with decarbonization pathways and science-based target expectations (e.g., SBTi-aligned initiatives)
Lead supplier sustainability initiatives while supporting sustainability reporting and audit requirements related to procurement activities
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
Build and manage strategic supplier relationships supporting multi-segment and global requirements
Lead negotiation of complex, high-value contracts and master service agreements
Establish and oversee supplier performance management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement programs

Position Summary
The Sr Director, Indirect Procurement will serve as the enterprise leader for indirect procurement across PCI Pharma Services, with responsibility spanning the Commercial, Clinical, and Development & Manufacturing (D&M) segments. This role has full accountability for developing and executing the indirect procurement strategy, including Capital Expenditure (CapEx) sourcing and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG)-related spend.
The Sr Director will partner closely with Executive Leadership and senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Clinical Operations, IT, and Sustainability to drive value creation, cost optimization, supplier performance, and risk mitigation. The role will enable growth and expansion by ensuring sourcing strategies support capacity, technology upgrades, and site investments while strengthening governance and sustainability outcomes across PCI's global supplier ecosystem.
This position operates in a global, highly matrixed environment and requires strong executive presence, the ability to influence without direct authority, and the capacity to balance strategic leadership with disciplined execution.
