As part of our Sustainable Business Energy Solutions team, you'll play a critical role in optimising and supporting battery energy storage systems (BESS) across our growing distributed energy portfolio.
As a Battery Integration Specialist, you'll sit within the Asset Performance team, ensuring the ongoing performance, reliability, and optimisation of BESS and associated energy systems post-installation.
This is a highly technical role with a strong focus on monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across solar, battery, and hybrid energy systems.
Responsibilities
Monitor, analyse and troubleshoot BESS and SAPS systems to ensure optimal performance
Diagnose faults using monitoring software and coordinate resolution with contractors and suppliers
Produce performance and availability reports for internal and external stakeholders
Provide remote (and occasional on-site) technical support to resolve complex system issues
Support onboarding of new projects, including design and operational reviews
Collaborate with engineering, asset management, and delivery teams to continuously improve system design and performance
Lead investigations into complex technical issues and contribute to capability uplift across the team
About You
Degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
5+ years' experience in BESS design, monitoring, or operations
Deep expertise in BESS systems, including design, installation, and troubleshooting
Strong working knowledge of relevant Australian standards
Proven problem-solving capability and ability to manage complex technical issues
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage across internal teams, contractors, and customers
