Lead survey delivery across construction activities - oversee and execute set-out for civil, structural, and infrastructure works, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with approved designs and project tolerances
Manage survey control and spatial accuracy - establish, maintain, and validate control networks and reference points to support multiple work fronts and ensure consistent positional integrity across the project
Undertake verification and as-built reporting - perform detailed as-built surveys using modern technologies (e.g. GNSS, total stations, drones) and confirm completed works meet design and specification requirements
Drive dimensional control and quality compliance - monitor tolerances, provide verification data, and support quality assurance processes to minimise rework and ensure compliant project delivery
Collaborate to resolve technical and site issues - work closely with engineering, construction, and quality teams to identify and resolve set-out discrepancies, non-conformances, and construction challenges
Maintain survey data, systems, and reporting - manage survey records, plans, and digital data within project systems (GIS, EDMS, CDE), while supporting progress reporting and ensuring adherence to safety and procedural standards
Required Skills and Competencies
Tertiary qualification in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related discipline
Demonstrated experience on major construction or infrastructure projects
Strong expertise in set-out, survey control, and as-built validation
Proficiency with modern survey technology and software (including 12d Model)
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances
Strong communication skills and the ability to solve site-based challenges
Excellent organisational and data management skills
A commitment to safety, quality, and accuracy
Highly regarded:
Experience in utilities, transmission, or linear infrastructure projects
Relevant professional certifications or registrations
