This is an individual contributor role with broad cross-functional influence, reporting to the VP of Global Revenue Controller. The successful candidate will be a builder and problem-solver who thrives at the intersection of technical accounting and operational systems.

Revenue Accounting & Close
Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition principles to evaluate and document treatment of complex, multi-element customer arrangements, including SSP analyses, contract modifications, and variable consideration.
Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close activities within the revenue accounting system (e.g., Zuora Revenue / RevPro, RevStream, RightRev, or NetSuite ARM), ensuring accuracy and completeness of recognized revenue posted to the general ledger.
Assist in the preparation and review of revenue accounting analyses, reconciliations, and deal review packages for management and external audit.
Develop, document, and maintain internal revenue accounting policies, ensuring alignment with US GAAP and SOX control requirements.
Identify and communicate the accounting implications of new products, go-to-market strategies, and contract structures to Finance and Commercial leadership.
Collaborate with FP&A to support the revenue forecasting process and provide monthly variance analysis and commentary.
Facilitate internal and external audit activities, including preparation of audit support schedules and responses to auditor inquiries.
Revenue Systems & Process Improvement
Serve as the primary accounting voice in system implementation and enhancement projects for Axon's revenue accounting engine (e.g., Zuora Revenue / RevPro, RevStream, RightRev, NetSuite ARM, or equivalent platform), ensuring system configuration accurately reflects GAAP accounting requirements.
Partner with IT, Commercial Operations, and external implementation partners to design, test, and deploy scalable, compliant revenue recognition system configurations.
Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) of system changes, validating that accounting outcomes are correct before go-live.
Lead data migration activities for revenue contracts, coordinating with IT and finance to ensure completeness, accuracy, and audit-readiness.
Develop and maintain the roadmap for accounting process automation, prioritize improvement initiatives, and present plans to Finance leadership.
Proactively identify manual accounting processes suitable for automation and lead implementation of solutions to reduce close cycle time and error risk.
Evaluate upstream process changes in CRM, CPQ, and billing systems for downstream accounting impact and system readiness.
What You Bring
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field.
CPA license or active candidacy is strongly preferred. CMA designation or CMA (Inter) with demonstrated revenue accounting experience will also be considered.
Requirements
7+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, with direct involvement in the accounting close, deal review, and revenue recognition under ASC 606 / US GAAP.
