Job Description: Staff Engineer, Modeling CFD Thermal Analysis Bloom Energy, a solid oxide fuel cell company, is looking for a CFD Engineer to join its world class team. This individual should be a dynamic professional who is looking for a rewarding future in one of today's most exciting technologies. Location: This position will be based in Bangalore, India Role & Responsibilities: Participate as a member of the engineering in design and development of our product, for system and components- from concept phase to production Thermal management of the whole system/Data center for conceptual ventilation design evaluation & recommend changes to the design based on the modeling Perform flow and thermal analysis, including rack, system enclosures and installations or our Energy Servers Interface with cross functional team and conduct accurate CFD models Utilize model prediction to evaluate design options and provide recommendations for improvement Participate in validations of models through representative tests and support in troubleshooting performance issues Create reports and present modeling results on a regular basis Education & Experience: MS/ MTech in Mechanical Engineering with a background in applied CFD Strong understanding of the fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics & Heat Transfer 4-6 years of experience in an engineering company supporting product development Experience of at least 3-5 years in engineering CFD software packages, such as or similar to ANSYS Icepak /Cadence/CoolSim /FloTherm . Ansys Icepak modeling experience in Thermal analysis of the electronic system & ventilation is desirable Experience in Data Center thermal management is a plus Ability to develop & validate thermal models of High-density electronic assemblies, Battery pack, and Complete system Ability to evaluate and optimize air flow, heat dissipation, & temperature distribution to improve cooling performance Proficiency in building CFD models of the whole system/site/data center for conceptual ventilation design evaluation & recommend changes to the design based on the modeling Familiarity with SolidWorks for mechanical design Ability to learn new application areas and capable of modeling complex simulations and multi-disciplinary systems Strong drive for results and continuous improvement Excellent communication skills
