Supporting young people with daily routines, emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Building safe, trusting relationships using trauma-informed practice
Encouraging independence, education, hobbies and social development
Supporting with meals, activities, appointments and household tasks
Following individual care plans and behaviour support strategies
Keeping accurate records of incidents, observations and progress
Working collaboratively with home staff, managers and external professionals
Maintaining high safeguarding standards at all times
Requirements
21+ years old (legal requirement for childrens residential care)
3+ months experience supporting children or vulnerable people in the UK
Calm, patient and emotionally resilient
Good communication and teamwork skills
Understanding of trauma, attachment and behaviour support (or willingness to learn)
Driving licence preferred but not essential
Willing to complete mandatory training
Reliable, professional and committed to safeguarding
Additional information
This is a relief/agency role, not a permanent position in one home
You must be eligible to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
If your DBS is not on the update service, you must be willing to complete a new one
