About the role

The Streetworks Team Lead will report directly into the Streetworks Administration Manager, ensuring all streetworks requirements are carried out to enable works on site. They will supervise the team and ensure that training needs are carried out. The role: Supporting the Manager in e nsuring the ir team are trained in the processes required by the department Providing training and coaching to other members of the team including being the point of escalation Understanding of permit scheme legislation and the requirements for managing permit conditions U pdating streetworks with relevant information and legislation changes and ensuring they are implemented into operational practices Raising, closing and managing permits from end to end including start/stop, PMR, variations, etc Processing TTRO and TTRN applications to various Highways Authorities Completing risk assessments in line with SWUK protocol Provide streetworks administration support in accordance with business operations Deal with esc alated Customer complaints in relation to Streetworks activities and have the ability to resolve these in a quick and timely manner Ensure compliance with all elements of streetworks legislation through effective management of notices, permits and other documents Liaise with operations, local authorities and third parties to arrange bus stop / parking suspensions / road closures and use of portable traffic signals Liaise and arrange traffic management alongside the traffic management team Support the development of processes, workflows and efficiency improvements Provide management with information on the performance of their team including workload profiles and training skills gaps. Stand in for Streetworks Management duties during periods of leave or abs ence. Provide technical support and guidance to Operations and other team members in relation to streetworks offences and associated costs such as FPN,S 74 and inspection failures as a point of escalation . Take part in the on call rota for weekend coverage of 'starts and stops' General Administration duties The person: Demonstrable experience of training and coaching team members Direct management or supervisory experience is desirable Relevant experience working in a Streetworks department Good knowledge of utility works including TTRO/TTRN legislation and permit legislation Excellent working knowledge of NRSWA, TMA and SROH legislation with the ability to transfer these skills into day to day decision making D riven and able to work autonomously with high level of attention to detail Competent or advanced competency with Microsoft Office applications Excellent communication skills across all levels Strategic mindset with the ability to prioritise tasks and focus on performance delivery while promoting efficiency improvements Demonstrable organisation and time management skills Additional Information: This is not an exhaustive list of duties and requirements.
