Yard Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Material Handling: Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment components using forklifts and other equipment.
• Order Fulfillment : Assist in fulfilling orders by accurately counting, selecting, and preparing materials for delivery or internal use.
• Equipment Operation : Operate machinery, such as forklift, in a safe and responsible manner. Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Collaboration : Work closely with other team members and support customer visits.
• Working Conditions:
• Work is performed both indoors in a warehouse setting and outdoors in the yard, in varying weather conditions
• The role may involve exposure to loud noises, dust, and heavy equipment
• 3 years minimum experience required operating a forklift
• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, manufacturing, or construction environment is a plus, but not mandatory
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Willingness to learn: Must be open to training and hands-on guidance. Able to follow instructions, ask questions for clarification, and demonstrate continuous improvement. Committed to maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to safety practices and PPE use
• Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor tasks, primarily in an outdoor environment
• Ability to lift 25 pounds consistently throughout an 8-hour shift
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry materials throughout the workday
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to keeping the work area clean and organized
• Effective communication skills with the ability to follow instructions and ask questions when needed
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious
• Familiarity with compliance standards, including EU/US trade sanctions, safety protocols, and quality controls
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Teams and Excel; experience with warehouse or ERP systems is a plus
