Provide strategic direction to cultivate a dynamic, patient-focused professional practice environment recognized for clinical excellence.
Develop and implement a comprehensive nursing and interprofessional strategy ensuring staff operate to their full scope of practice in accordance with regulatory standards (e.g., CNO).
Act as a core clinical practice resource, advising senior management, directors, and clinical staff on the operational implications of professional practice.
Advance nursing and interdisciplinary practice through academic relations, community consultation, and professional publication.
Quality Improvement & Patient Safety
Champion the organization's transformation into a High Reliability Organization (HRO) by implementing robust frameworks for safety and quality improvement.
Oversee regulatory readiness, Accreditation, Quality of Care reviews, and the organizational incident management system.
Govern quality and safety initiatives by co-chairing the Corporate Quality Committee and providing strategic support to the Quality and Safety Committee of the Board.
Monitor organizational scorecards and execute action plans to achieve targeted safety outcomes.
Infection Prevention & Control (IPAC)
Direct the development of evidence-based interventions to reduce or eliminate Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) and disease transmission.
Partner with the Physician Lead of IPAC to advise clinical leaders on infection prevention priorities and resource allocation.
Ensure rigorous compliance with regulatory requirements by managing disease outbreak investigations, conducting surveillance, and reporting to Public Health.
People Leadership & Workplace Culture
Foster a safe, equitable, and inclusive continuous-learning environment for clinical staff and advanced practice nurses.
Recruit, evaluate, and integrate professional care providers, Practice Leaders, and Clinical Informatics staff.
