Discuss daily planning and work schedules with the Department Head to align operations and resources.
Supervise blistering, filling and packing operations within the Production Department, ensuring adherence to GMP, safety and quality standards.
Execute production activities as per the schedule received from Planning, ensuring timely completion of batches.
Manage packing documentation, including preparation, checking, reconciliation and timely delivery of batch records.
Maintain SAP postings for inventory transactions and labor hour distribution in an accurate and timely manner.
Coordinate with Engineering for preventive and breakdown maintenance of packing equipment to minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with QMS standards and guidelines within the department.
Provide in-house training on SOPs and BPRs to relevant staff to support continuous compliance and improvement.
Maintain all relevant packing section records in line with regulatory and internal standards.
Support cross-functional departments (e.g. Quality, Engineering, Planning, Warehouse) and maintain strong working relationships to achieve overall site goals.
Education, Experience & Skills
Pharm-D or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical or Biotech).
Experience in pharmaceutical packaging / production operations is preferred, ideally in a non-penicillin environment.
Familiarity with GMP, QMS, SAP or similar ERP systems and production documentation.
Strong understanding of production/packaging processes and compliance requirements.
Good planning and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple batches and priorities.
Attention to detail in documentation, reconciliation and system postings.
Ability to lead and supervise shop-floor teams and provide effective on-the-job training.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
