Serve as a primary point of contact for client service requests via phone, email, and in‑person interactions
Provide clear, professional, and timely communication to clients with diverse financial needs and backgrounds
Support clients with common service needs, including distributions, contributions, account maintenance, and documentation
Assist with Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs), including setup, processing, and client education
Money Movement, Trading & Transaction Support
Process money movement requests accurately and efficiently, including ACHs, wires, checks, and journal transfers
Support trading, rebalancing, and transaction management in coordination with advisors and centralized trading teams
Ensure all transactions meet firm policies, regulatory requirements, and internal risk controls
Monitor transaction status and follow through to completion
Team & Advisor Support
Collaborate closely with advisors, planners, and fellow team members across investment management and financial planning
Support a growing and specialized team by managing workflows, priorities, and deadlines
Maintain accurate client records and documentation within Ameriprise systems
Assist with preparation for client meetings and ongoing service follow‑ups
Financial Planning & Education Support
Provide basic education and support around financial planning concepts as appropriate
Help gather and organize client information to support planning and analysis
Adapt communication style to meet the needs of different clients, from simple service requests to more complex planning conversations
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent.
3 - 5 years relevant experience required.
Series 7 or ability to obtain within 150 days.
State securities agent registration (S63 or S66) or ability to obtain within 150 days.
Experience working in a client service environment.
Detail-oriented, strong math, and analytical skills. Good organization and time management skills.
Able to manage multiple priorities and prioritize effectively. Able to independently work with minimal direct supervision.
Able to communicate with all levels within the organization. Process oriented and can work with a team.
Strong computer and software skills.
Requirements
State IAR registration (S65 or S66) or ability to obtain within 150 days.
