As an Event Technician at Snowbird under the direction of the Event Technology Manager you will run lighting, audio, IT, and video. Takes direction from management in Food and Beverage, Special Events, and Conference Operations. Assists in whatever duties necessary. The ideal candidate will have great communications skills, customer service experience, and leadership.
Responsibilities
Mix live sound for bands, performers and conferences.
Perform basic networking.
Video and audio record events.
Large and small venue projection, knowledge of PowerPoint, and video switching/scaling.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair audio, visual, and lighting equipment pre, post, and during events.
Set up and tear down for events and performs tech functions.
Develop working relationships with new clients and interact professionally with them at all times, as well as with return customers.
Help clients meet their expectations for their events using Snowbird's technology.
Assist other departments within the resort with any needs that may arise.
WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
12+ months of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a Valid Driver License w/ clean MVR (driving record)
Some administrative duties exist including billing and labor tracking, as well as other duties as assigned.
Must have experience running audio for live bands and operating projection and video switching/scaling equipment.
WORK SCHEDULE
Shifts vary between early mornings and late nights. Weekends are often very busy.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures.
May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
Work is outdoors and requires constant exposure to cold and other extreme weather conditions.
Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult, frequent exposure to noise.
Frequent work at high elevation (8,000 ft-11,000 ft).
Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.
