Otterbein at SpringMeade Health Cente r has an employment opportunity for a Housekeeper . The Housekeepers provide a clean, safe environment for residents, guests and employees. They enhance the lives and nurture the growth of older persons by providing high quality service in a cheerful, timely manner and by communicating, coordinating and cooperating with others to attain goals. Come be a part of a wonderful team that takes pride in serving our senior residents! Shift: Full-time 1st Hours: 7a-5p (4 shifts a week) and every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Adheres to sanitary and safety practices and standards
• Maintains good personal hygiene and adhere to dress code.
• Uses and stores equipment and supplies effectively, efficiently and safely per established guidelines.
• Uses authorized chemicals and agents as directed and be familiar with their individual MSDS information sheet.
• Cleans own equipment and cart at end of shift.
• Follows facility infection control and standard precautions policies and procedures.
• Uses personal protective equipment when necessary.
• Reports all equipment repair needs to Director in a timely manner.
• Communicates effectively and maintains confidentiality.
• Respects and maintains residents' dignity, individuality, privacy and confidentiality.
• Promotes positive public relations for the facility.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and appropriate products.
• Ability to communicate effectively
